In a time where Las Vegas is rapidly expanding, Ralph Lamb struggles to maintain peace on his ranch and in his life. As outsiders bring corruption into the city, he finds it challenging to keep his distance from the chaos that ensues. Recalling Lamb's experience as a military police officer during World War II, the Mayor reaches out to him for help in solving the murder of a casino worker. This request leads Ralph into a fierce conflict with Vincent Savino, a ruthless Chicago gangster who aims to control Vegas at any cost.
