Seraph of the End

In a world decimated by a virus that spares only children, humanity faces a new threat as vampires emerge from the shadows. As civilization collapses, these bloodthirsty creatures claim dominion over the Earth, capturing remnants of humanity and forcing them to reside underground in exchange for their survival. For young Yūichirō and his childhood friend Mikaela, escape seems like a distant dream amidst the oppression of vampire rule at Hyakuya Orphanage. Their attempt leads to tragedy, but not before Mikaela sacrifices himself so Yūichirō may flee and be saved by an elite extermination unit of Japan's Demon Army - the Moon Demon Company. Four years later, now a member of the demon-fighting force, Yūichirō is determined to avenge his "family" by annihilating the very creatures that plunged the world into darkness and despair.
