Vodka Lemon

In the secluded Yazidi Kurdish village nestled in post-Soviet Armenia, the days are laced with melancholy as Hamo, a grieving widower, makes a pilgrimage to his wife's grave every day, burdened by a meager pension and three unproductive sons. In this isolated landscape, he encounters Nina, a beautiful woman mourning her own loss at the same sacred site. Both struggling in their impoverished lives - Hamo selling off his scant belongings to survive, and Nina working at a bar on its last legs - they find solace in their shared sorrow. However, as Hamo tentatively courts Nina, an unexpected love blossoms between them, restoring hope and vitality amidst the bleak surroundings, proving that even in the most challenging situations, the human spirit can rise above adversity.
