Turf

The film follows the lives of four French friends – an osteopath referred to as the Greek, Fifi who resides with his mother, Fortuné from the West Indies and Freddy, a compulsive gambler. They often gather at their favorite spot in Paris, a bookmakers'. Growing weary of constantly spending their limited disposable income on gambling, they decide to commit to giving it up for good. However, just as they take this vow, the enigmatic turf king, Monsieur Paul enters their lives and entices them into buying an exceptional racehorse. What they don't know at the time is that the horse in question is far from a champion - it's actually an aging, rundown racehorse. The story unfolds as they navigate the trials of friendship, loyalty, and their dreams while being confronted by the unexpected challenges of horse racing and ownership.
