Description:
Set against the backdrop of late 19th century Alexandria, this film chronicles the intense rivalry between two traditional Turkish families, the Seferoglu's and the Tellioglu's, as they vie for control over the coveted 'Green Valley'. Daver Bey, a prominent figure in the area, holds the key to their ambitions with his beautiful daughter Leyla. Recognizing an opportunity to secure favor with Daver Bey, both families attempt to arrange a marriage between one of their own and the young Leyla, hoping that this familial connection will lead to the Green Valley being bestowed upon them.Faced with mounting pressure from the Seferoglu's who seem to be in the lead, the Tellioglus resort to drastic measures in order to level the playing field. Desperate to outshine their rivals, they concoct an audacious plan: they will disguise their simple-minded butler Saban as none other than 'Tosun Pasha', the highest ranked Ottoman soldier stationed in Egypt. The family hopes that this deception will garner them recognition and ultimately lead to victory in both the love match and the race for the Green Valley.
