While officially still registered in the Netherlands, he only visits once a year for checkups and routine appointments. During these trips, he stays with his Cape Verdean stepdaughter, reconnects with his son Dick, and finds himself grappling with the challenges of ageing and illness.Dick, at 45 years old, has long struggled with internal conflicts that have strained his relationship with both Gerrie and the world around him.
