The Troubles of Alfred

Alfred, a man haunted by misfortune in love, contemplates taking his own life. Unbeknownst to him, another person in the vicinity is also planning an attempt. The simultaneous suicide bid catches the attention of local police, who manage to foil both attempts. Alfred, left with no place to go, finds solace and a temporary home with the young woman whose life he unknowingly saved.As he recovers, Alfred decides to embrace life again by joining a Parisian sporting team. Surprisingly, his bad luck doesn't follow him, but instead transfers onto an underhand television boss who is manipulating the game to ensure that Alfred's team loses. This twist of fate sets the stage for an unlikely alliance and an adventure filled with camaraderie, redemption, and a journey towards discovering one's worth on the field and off it.
