Description:
In Majdal Shams, a small Druze village perched on the Israeli-Syrian border, lives the young bride-to-be Mona. Her fiancé Tallel is a comedian working in Syria's Revolution Studios; however, they have never met due to the region being under occupation by Israel since 1967. This complicated scenario leaves Mona facing an uncertain future as she would lose her unique nationality status if she moved to Syria. Her father Hammed is a political activist with pro-Syria leanings, currently on probation by the Israeli government. His older son Hatten married a Russian woman eight years ago and was subsequently banished from the village by religious leaders and his own father. Meanwhile, his brother Marwan trades wolves in Italy, while sister Amal faces marital strife alongside her pursuit of higher education for her two daughters. This already tumultuous family gathering becomes further complicated when a preposterous bureaucratic hurdle threatens to derail Mona's wedding.
