The Song of Bernadette

Set in 1858 Lourdes, France, the movie tells the story of Bernadette, a young peasant girl who experiences visions of an ethereal figure she refers to simply as "a beautiful lady." Though others claim it is the Virgin Mary, both skeptical officials and the church are hesitant to acknowledge the apparition. Despite this, Bernadette's encounters gain widespread attention, and the entire town becomes engulfed in a whirlwind of emotions and transformation. As the community grapples with their newfound faith and the potential implications of these visions, they must confront their own beliefs, doubts, and desires for miracles.
