Description:
In a post-WWII world, thirty years after the conflict's end, Johan, a one-time Volksdeutscher, returns to his birthplace and childhood home. Upon arrival, he unexpectedly encounters Dane and Janja, two colonists who have been assigned Johan's house. As they interact, Johan takes note of the mulberry tree in the yard that holds significant memories for him. The film explores themes of identity, displacement, and reconciliation as it delves into the complex emotional landscape of a man reconnecting with his past amidst new occupants of his old home.
