The Last Right

In this intriguing narrative, Daniel Murphy finds himself in a perplexing situation when he comes into possession of a corpse that shares his last name during a flight from Boston to County Cork. Amidst grief for his late mother, Daniel must now also attend to his autistic brother while navigating the unexpected circumstances surrounding the deceased individual. The journey transforms into an unconventional road trip as they transport the coffin from Clonakilty to Rathlin Island. Along the way, the trio, consisting of Daniel, his brother and a mortuary assistant, forge bonds and face challenges that test their relationships and personal growth. Set against the beautiful backdrop of Ireland's countryside, the film explores themes of loss, familial responsibility, and human connection in an unconventional manner.
