The Keeping Room

Set at the tail-end of the Civil War, this film delves into a unique adaptation of the American Western genre. The story follows Augusta, a resilient Southerner who finds herself face to face with two ruthless soldiers on a rampage of violence and destruction. Escaping their grasp narrowly, Augusta returns to her secluded farmhouse where she cohabits with her sister Louise and the latter's female slave, Mad.However, her reprieve is short-lived as the malicious soldiers relentlessly pursue her for retaliation.
