The Eye of the Storm

In the suburban streets of Sydney, a solemn gathering takes place as Elizabeth Hunter lies on her deathbed. Her eclectic family members - daughter Dorothy, a forlorn princess in her own right, and son Sir Basil, a well-known but fading London actor - make their way to Australia, all hoping to claim their share of the impending inheritance. Amidst this somber atmosphere, the nurses Maria and Flora, housekeeper Lotte, and solicitor Arnold also find themselves playing a part in this intricate family dance, attending to Elizabeth's final days and navigating the underlying tensions that arise. As emotions run high, each character must confront their own personal struggles while they wait for the reading of the will, which ultimately determines the fate of the family fortunes.
