In a serene rural setting, Echo, a 14-year old girl, and her mother Ivy, who practices tarot card reading as her livelihood, live an unassuming life filled with peace and quiet. Their tranquil existence is disrupted by the arrival of the reclusive Kurt, who has moved into an abandoned farmhouse nearby to restore it.
