The Debt

In this gripping thriller, we follow Rachel Singer, a former Mossad agent haunted by a mission that took place three decades ago. During this classified operation, she was tasked with capturing a notorious Nazi war criminal known as the Surgeon of Birkenau. The operation concluded with the fugitive's death on the streets of East Berlin; however, unexpectedly, a man claiming to be the doctor resurfaces, prompting Rachel to embark on a journey back to Eastern Europe in search of the truth. As she navigates through her past, Rachel is bombarded with memories of her youth and her fellow agents, forcing her to relive the emotional turmoil that came with that critical mission. The film explores themes of personal redemption, sacrifice, and the weight of a celebrated but complicated history as Rachel confronts both the past and the present.
