The Cakemaker

In this emotional drama, Thomas, a talented young German baker, embarks on a complex journey when he becomes embroiled in the life of Anat, a newly widowed Israeli woman and the wife of his late lover, Oren. After Oren's untimely death in a car crash, Thomas travels to Jerusalem seeking answers and ends up assuming a new identity to get closer to Anat. Working alongside her at her small downtown café, he introduces traditional German cakes and pastries that rejuvenate the business. As Thomas becomes further entwined with Anat's life, he must balance his deception and the truth about their shared past as they both try to heal from grief in unexpected ways.
