Terrible Jungle

In a remote region of French Guyana, young anthropologist Eliott embarks on an eye-opening journey to explore the enigmatic Otopis tribe nestled deep within the Amazon rainforest. Driven by ambition and eager to distance himself from the smothering influence of his overbearing mother, Chantal de Bellabre – a notorious ethnologist known for her questionable methods – Eliott is about to discover that reality often falls short of expectations. Contrary to his romanticized notions of these "good savages," the Otopis display an alarming array of destructive behaviors, dragging Eliott into a nightmarish ordeal amidst the jungle's dense vegetation. Meanwhile, Chantal, tormented by guilt and concern for her son's well-being, abandons her own research expedition and, together with the invaluable assistance of the enigmatic Lieutenant-Commander Raspailles and his crew, sets out on a treacherous mission to locate Eliott and rescue him from his harrowing predicament.
