"Spitak" chronicles the aftermath of the most devastating earthquake in Armenian history, which struck on December 7th, 1988 and claimed over 25,000 lives while leaving more than half a million homeless. Set against this heart-wrenching backdrop, we follow Gor's journey as he returns to his homeland from abroad, seeking solace in the embrace of his family and the familiarity of his roots. However, upon arriving, he discovers that the disaster has razed everything to the ground - a bitter reminder of the destructive power of nature and the fragility of life. This poignant narrative serves as a requiem for the lives lost and the community shattered by this catastrophic event, as Gor must learn how to love again in the wake of the devastation he left behind.
