In this heartfelt coming-of-age tale, Kumiko Oumae, an euphonist seeking a fresh start after leaving music behind due to past disappointments, finds herself rekindling her passion for music in high school's unruly brass band. As she navigates the dynamics of her diverse and talented fellow musicians - some newcomers like novice tubist Hazuki Katou, veteran contrabassist Sapphire Kawashima, and vice president and fellow euphonist Asuka Tanaka; others old friends such as Shuuichi Tsukamoto and Reina Kousaka - Kumiko discovers the motivation to embrace her musical gifts again.Amidst their collective ambition to compete at the national level, they face daunting obstacles, including their initial inability even to qualify for the local festival. It falls on their new band advisor Noboru Taki to steer them towards success as they confront the challenges and triumphs of honing their skills together. Through the shared journey of self-discovery and artistic growth, the group learns about camaraderie, determination, and the transformative power of music.
