Shallow Hal

Hal has spent his life adhering to his father's advice: only date the epitome of female physical perfection. This mindset leads him on a series of superficial relationships, until an unexpected encounter with self-help guru Tony Robbins changes everything. Robbins, fascinated by Hal's narrow viewpoint, hypnotizes him into seeing beauty beyond the surface. As Hal starts to embrace this new perspective, he falls for a woman named Rosemary. Unbeknownst to him, however, his seemingly gorgeous girlfriend is in reality a far cry from the image he had been drawn to, weighing in at 300 pounds. The film explores themes of self-discovery and the reevaluation of societal standards of beauty through humor, drama, and an unexpected friendship between Hal and Tony Robbins.
