Second Act

Maya Vargas, an experienced Value Shop assistant manager, is turning 43 and dreams of finally achieving a promotion at her workplace. Despite not having formal education, Maya demonstrates excellent skills in understanding customer needs and delivering impactful results. Unfortunately, she loses the opportunity to a college-educated candidate, fueling her determination to showcase that practical wisdom can be just as significant as academic knowledge in professional life. Consequently, Maya embarks on a journey to prove to Madison Avenue's corporate world that 'street smarts' should not be undermined and that it is never too late for a person to redefine their career path.
