A year-long mystery surrounding the theft of $300,000 from a New York bank finally gets a lead as investigators Cal Bruner and Jack Farnham discover traces of the missing cash in a Los Angeles drugstore robbery. Their trail takes an unexpected turn when they encounter singer Lili, whose own stolen bill leads them to an LA nightclub's underbelly.
