Penny Pinchers

Ji-woong, a young man struggling with unemployment, finds himself living on his mother's limited financial support, leading him to lie about his situation in order to continue receiving her aid. However, Ji-woong's world takes an unexpected turn when he encounters Hong-sil, a woman known for her tightfisted nature and passion for saving money. She spends her free time making deposits at the bank and expertly transforms discarded glass bottles and newspapers into cash. As Ji-woong finds himself without his mother's support and now homeless, he forms an unlikely bond with Hong-sil, who not only teaches him valuable life lessons about resourcefulness but also helps him regain a sense of purpose in life.
