Of Love and Lies

Twelve-year-old Theo possesses a natural talent for soccer, but his life at home proves challenging as he watches his father spiral down a path of self-destruction fueled by alcoholism and the aftermath of a divorce. Despite this tumultuous environment, Theo remains steadfast in his support for his father. When a scout from an esteemed British soccer club takes notice of him, he sees an opportunity to reignite his dad's hope. However, when Theo is not selected by the prestigious team, he resorts to lying about his acceptance to try and bring joy back into his father's life. Surprisingly, this white lie brings a remarkable transformation in both their lives as his dad finds renewed motivation and purpose in helping Theo prepare for the nonexistent opportunity. However, as the lie expands beyond control, Theo's actions set off a series of events that lead to significant changes in their life trajectory - ultimately resulting in a brighter future for them both.
