The final three weeks of school life are upon the students at Gymnasium Kerkheim, and with Germany's Abitur looming, these young adults face a bittersweet period as they prepare to embark on separate paths after graduation. Markus struggles with balancing his loyalty to longtime friends against newfound affection for Sandra from a lower grade. Meanwhile, Dirk faces the prospect of expulsion if he can't pass his upcoming math exam, while Michael, a high-achieving student, grapples with an unexpected lack of enjoyment in life. It is during this tense and transitional period that Steven hosts a party to celebrate his exemption from military service – an event which reunites these friends for one last memorable experience before they all go their separate ways.
