Mr. Hobbs Takes a Vacation

Roger Hobbs, a hardworking banker, envisions a serene vacation with his wife Peggy at an isolated location for their much-needed rest. However, Peggy has different plans and convinces him to spend time in a California beach house with the entire family. Upon arrival, they find themselves in a far less desirable situation than expected; the house is old, rundown, and lacking any charm. As if that wasn't enough, their children are also unwilling to partake in traditional summer activities, with Katey self-conscious about her braces and Danny preferring his screen time over fresh air. To make matters worse, Roger's two grown daughters arrive with their unhappy spouses in tow, further complicating the family dynamic. As the week unfolds, Roger finds himself caught in the midst of his family's personal issues and struggles, trying to mediate conflicts and help them find solutions so that he can finally attain some peace and harmony during this vacation.
