In the heart of 1942's Bavarian countryside lies an old farmhouse where the line between personal and political becomes blurred. When Eva, a resilient widow, welcomes Adolf, Josef, Magda, and Martin – a group of friends united by their allegiance to the regime – into her home for a weekend getaway, she hopes to escape the oppressive atmosphere that permeates every corner of Germany. However, as the days progress, it becomes increasingly evident that even in this serene setting, the menacing undertones of wartime politics are impossible to shake off.
