In a gritty tale of camaraderie and desperation, four inmates formulate an audacious plan to tunnel out of their high-security prison cell. Despite his initially hesitant nature, Claude is eventually drawn into the scheme and becomes a crucial part of the team.Over three nerve-wracking days, the inmates work tirelessly using a repurposed bedpost to bore through the concrete floor, eventually reaching the sewer system below. The escapees face several challenges along the way: avoiding prison guards, enduring cramped and filthy conditions, and grappling with internal tensions.
