Aoi Nishimori refuses to leave her familiar surroundings when her parents move away for work, electing instead to attend high school independently while residing in an apartment. Her unexpected path takes a turn when Shūsei Kugayama, a highly popular student from their school, becomes her new neighbor due to unforeseen circumstances. A series of mishaps leads Aoi to accidentally trigger the sprinkler system in Shūsei's room, leaving him temporarily without a suitable place to stay. As they navigate through this unusual situation, the two teenagers find themselves growing closer and sharing experiences that shape their understanding of one another amidst the challenges of adolescence.
