Kings and Queen

Art gallery director Nora travels from Paris to Grenoble to visit her preteen son, Elias, before her wedding. During their time together, she discovers that Louis, her aging professor father, is battling terminal cancer. As they navigate the emotional landscape of illness and loss, Nora seeks out Ismaël, a former lover and father figure to Elias who has been involuntarily committed to a mental hospital. Ismaël too faces his own internal struggles. The film explores themes of love, family, and personal growth as it depicts how these characters find solace in their connections with one another amidst the challenges they face.
