Is Paris Burning?

In the waning days of World War II, German General Dietrich von Choltitz is tasked with an unthinkable mission: to destroy Paris if it appears inevitable that the city will fall into the hands of the advancing Allied forces or if he cannot maintain control over the French capital. Haunted by the prospect of reducing one of Europe's most beautiful cities to rubble, General von Choltitz grapples with his conscience and ultimately defies his superiors by choosing not to execute this ruthless order. This decision ignites hope within various Parisian resistance factions, who believe their city will be liberated from the oppressive grip of Nazi control. United in this common goal, General von Choltitz forms an unlikely alliance with Swedish diplomat Raoul Nordling and assists a prominent figure in the French resistance as they strategize to drive out their German occupiers and restore freedom to Paris.
