Ollie wakes up to a disaster-struck house after hosting an unruly party the previous night, oblivious to the chaos that awaits him. His wife's timely telegram announcing her return from vacation in Chicago intensifies his panic, and he enlists his good friend Stan to help clean the wreckage before his wife's unexpected arrival.Their well-intentioned efforts, however, backfire as they unleash a comedic whirlwind of misadventures and mishaps that leave the house in an even worse state than when they started. The movie captures their hilarious and futile attempts to restore order before Ollie's wife walks through the door, all the while delving into themes of friendship and the lengths people go to avoid consequences or wrath.
