In a world where humanity has successfully banished the destructive force of Godzilla by sealing him in a frozen prison at the South Pole, hope seems to have returned to cities once ravaged by his monstrous power. However, this short-lived peace is shattered when new threats arise; colossal creatures emerge from unknown depths to wreak havoc upon the fragile foundations of civilization.
