Arlis Sweeney struggles to come to terms with his harrowing past as he remembers a tragic incident where his father murdered an entire family. Consequently, Arlis chooses solitude and immerses himself in his work to escape the torment of his memories. In an unexpected turn of events, he encounters Kay Davies, a woman intrinsically linked to this dark episode from his past. Surprisingly, despite their shared history, Arlis and Kay develop a deep bond that eventually blossoms into love. However, Arlis's peace is short-lived as his estranged father, Roy, makes a chilling reappearance in his life with the manipulative Ginnie by his side. This forces Arlis to confront his inner demons and grapple with the past that has haunted him for so long.
