In the early 19th century, Oregon Territory sees the arrival of a solitary yet proficient cook who embarks on a journey westward. His path crosses with that of a Chinese immigrant harboring similar ambitions for prosperity. The two individuals, united by their shared goal and mutual respect for each other's culinary skills, devise a risky plan to acquire the prized possession of the wealthy local landowner - his highly coveted Jersey cow, believed to be the only one in the entire territory.
