Dr. Emma Collins and her dedicated research team return to the tranquil island of Little Happy for a third summer, their mission being to study the effects of climate change on great white shark populations that visit the nearby nursery each year. Amidst the idyllic surroundings, Emma's focus is disrupted by the sudden arrival of a rival group led by her ex-boyfriend Richard, a marine biologist with an unorthodox agenda. This team has come to seek three bull sharks, but it soon becomes clear that these aren't ordinary bull sharks; their pursuit holds a far more dangerous and mysterious implication. As Emma confronts her past and navigates the precarious balance of science and nature on the island, she must also contend with the looming threat that could change the course of life for all inhabitants of Little Happy forever.
