Dear Frankie

In the quaint seaside town of Scotland, nine-year-old Frankie and his resilient single mother, Lizzie, are trying to find a semblance of stability. To shield Frankie from their tumultuous past, Lizzie concocts an elaborate story: his father serves on the HMS Accra, recounting his fictional adventures in foreign lands through handwritten letters. As Frankie meticulously tracks the ship's imagined journey, he learns that it is set to dock at their hometown in just two weeks. With time running out and the truth looming closer, Lizzie must confront a difficult decision: reveal her secret or find a stranger willing to pretend to be Frankie's father for one extraordinary day.
