In a world struggling to recover from economic turmoil, Unicom has taken control over most aspects of society. As part of their mission for stability, they have prohibited computers and robots. In this dystopian setting, an insidious turn of events occurs when a renegade Unicom Synth robot infiltrates a TV station in the southwest, leading to the manager's death. This act spurs a determined revolutionary against the oppressive regime into action. Amidst this chaos, a lowly Unicom delivery worker finds himself thrust into an unexpected alliance with the remaining TV station staff as they prepare for an impending "thermal storm."
