The film explores the unlikely partnership between Professor Pohl, a blunt academic with a brusque demeanor, and Naima, a talented yet late-arriving student at their shared university. When an embarrassing racist remark made by Pohl during one of his lectures goes viral, he's given an ultimatum by the university president, Lambrecht: either be dismissed or assist Naima in preparing for a crucial debate tournament. As two individuals from vastly different backgrounds, Pohl and Naima initially clash; however, their contrasting perspectives ultimately lead them to find common ground and work together. Throughout their tumultuous teamwork, they uncover underlying prejudices while learning valuable lessons about empathy, understanding, and the transformative power of collaboration.
