In this coming-of-age drama, freshman Soon-cheol joins the philosophy department at university and befriends fellow student Byeong-tae. Both young men face significant challenges: Soon-cheol poses as a college student to fulfill his sister's dream while supporting their widowed father, and Byeong-tae struggles with low self-esteem after placing last in a physical beauty contest. Their lives are further impacted by tragic events like the death of Sun-cheol's father, hit by a train.Despite these hardships, Soon-cheol perseveres and even manages to hide his secret from his new friends. However, when they learn about his ruse, they encourage him to represent the philosophy department in the school marathon.
