Grateful for their kindness, Nikolas crafts special goodbye gifts for the children living in each household: homemade toys that bring joy and sparkle to their faces.As Nikolas matures into his teenage years, he is placed under the gruff tutelage of Iisakki, a seasoned carpenter who initially disapproves of Nikolas's Christmas present tradition. Over time, however, Iisakki's initial skepticism softens as he witnesses the transformative power and pure happiness that these presents bring to the children in the village. Together, they embark on nurturing and preserving Nikolas's heartwarming custom of spreading Christmas cheer through thoughtful gifts.However, this tradition is once more put at risk when Iisakki, now an old man himself, must leave Nikolas to seek solace elsewhere.
