Blazing Saddles

In a peculiar town where the majority of its inhabitants share the last name Johnson, an ambitious and ruthless railroad magnate named Hedley Lamarr has his sights set on acquiring their land for his expansion project. To make the residents' lives unbearable and force them to give up their property willingly, he dispatches a group of thugs into the town. When the long-standing sheriff is assassinated in an effort to increase chaos, the grieving Johnson townsfolk plead with the governor for a new protector. Sensing an opportunity to make an example and further demonstrate his power, Lamarr convinces the governor to send the town their first African American sheriff from the West. Little do the residents of Johnson know that their new law enforcer will not only restore order but also challenge societal prejudices in a time when such acts were rare and groundbreaking.
