Before the Rain

The film delves into the intricate web of violence and its cyclical nature as it follows a story set against the backdrop of the Bosnian War in Macedonia. Amongst them is a young monk who has taken a vow of silence but cannot overlook the plight of the girl and decides to offer her protection. Simultaneously, in London, an expectant photographic editor grapples with her strained marital relationship and opts for an upscale restaurant as the setting to confront her estranged husband about their issues. The narrative skillfully intertwines these two distinct storylines, exploring themes of violence, forgiveness, and the complexities of human connection in times of conflict and personal turmoil.
