Bandits of Orgosolo

In the rugged landscape of Sardinia, the simple life of an innocent peasant takes an unexpected turn after he is falsely accused of murdering a policeman. Unable to trust the judicial system and fearful of leaving his sheep unattended during the trial, he flees with his brother to the harsh mountain terrain, only to find their flock decimated by the harsh conditions. Upon returning to the town, he discovers his family struggling in poverty due to his absence. Desperation leads him to acquire a weapon and, driven by his dire circumstances, he embarks on a path of banditry, becoming a figure both feared and pitied within the community. The film explores themes of justice, survival, and the impact of societal structures on individual lives in a rural setting.
