Description:
Tatie Danielle is a witty black comedy that portrays the life of an eccentric widow who takes her grief to a whole new level by unintentionally causing chaos in the lives of those around her. Tsilla Chelton brilliantly embodies Tatie, a woman mourning the loss of her husband through the act of tormenting everyone she meets. Her great-nephew and his wife soon find themselves entangled in this whirlwind of disruption when they take her in after her husband's demise. As the family attempts to navigate their new living arrangement, they quickly realize that Tatie is a force to be reckoned with. A war erupts within the household, ultimately leading them to abandon the stubborn widow and leave her in the care of Sandrine (Isabelle Nanty), an au pair who, despite her young age, shares Tatie's penchant for bitterness.Initially, the two women clash, but their unlikely friendship eventually blossoms as they begin to understand one another. However, when Sandrine is offered a chance to spend time with an American student, leaving Tatie alone, their bond is tested. In a fit of rage, Tatie fires her caretaker and sinks into a deep depression. When left on her own, Tatie's mental state deteriorates further, leading her to commit an act that sets the family's apartment ablaze. As the fire spreads through the media, Tatie is portrayed as a pitiful old lady, while her family is branded as cruel and heartless villains. This offbeat comedy serves as a refreshing exploration of grief, loneliness, and the absurdity of human relationships.
