Alien Attack

Set in the lunar landscape, this scientific research colony known as Moonbase Alpha serves as a base for space expeditions. Housing over 300 individuals from Earth, they not only conduct groundbreaking research but also monitor the vast amounts of atomic waste stored on the Moon's far side. Unbeknownst to them, the magnetic radiation accumulating puts these wastes at risk of explosion, an event that would have dire consequences for Earth and the Moon itself. With Earth's gravitational pull overcome, the Moon breaks free of its orbit, leaving the survivors stranded on their drifting lunar home. As they navigate through unknown space, they encounter a planet inhabited by advanced beings capable of projecting illusions; these deceptive projections lead to an illusion of devastating attack on Moonbase Alpha. The story unfolds in the TV movie, which is edited from scenes of two episodes "Breakaway" and "War Games," originally part of the 1975 series "Space: 1999."
