A Murder of Crows

Key West provides the backdrop for the tangled life of Lawson Russell, a disgraced lawyer who finds himself entwined with the enigmatic, elderly author Christopher Marlowe. In an effort to find solace in his new surroundings and put his past scandals behind him, Russell strikes up an unlikely friendship with the novelist and even borrows one of Marlowe's manuscripts. Tragedy soon strikes, as the older man succumbs to a heart attack, leaving Russell with an unpublished literary gem. In a bid for redemption, he decides to publish this last work under his own name—an act that surprisingly propels him into the realm of best-selling authors. However, this newfound success comes with a dark twist as he finds himself implicated in the investigation of a heinous string of murders. The line between reality and fiction begins to blur in this intriguing tale where a life reborn is haunted by the shadows of past sins and a literary legacy.
