Falling Leaves

In the early days of autumn, Dr. Headley, a dedicated scientist, unveils his latest discovery - an astonishing cure for tuberculosis. Unbeknownst to him, this deadly disease is about to take yet another life, that of a teenage girl named Winifred. Heartbroken by her sister's impending demise, thirteen-year-old Trixie listens intently as the family doctor forecasts Winifred's inevitable end: "When the last leaf falls, she will have passed away." Taking those words literally, and driven by a fierce determination to save her beloved sibling, Trixie sets out on an extraordinary mission. With every falling leaf signifying one day closer to Winifred's death, Trixie embarks on an emotionally charged journey, fueled by her unwavering love for her sister, in the hope of finding a solution before time runs out.
