The Witness

In post-WWII Hungary during the 1950s, József Pelikán quietly goes about his work as a dam keeper on the vast Danube River. One fateful day, he unexpectedly encounters Zoltán Dániel, an old acquaintance whom he had once heroically rescued from the brink of death. Now, years later, Zoltán has risen to the ranks of powerful politicians in a rapidly changing world.
