Shenandoah

Charlie Anderson, a hardworking farmer residing in peaceful Shenandoah, Virginia, has long led a content life tending to his land and family. His tranquil existence, however, is shattered with the outbreak of the Civil War - a conflict that Charlie neither supports nor wishes to be involved in. Nonetheless, when Union troops seize his youngest son during one of their raids, Charlie's personal dilemma collides with the larger war effort. Thrust into the heart of the conflict against his will, he embarks on a perilous journey to rescue his kidnapped child and restore peace to his family. The film follows Anderson's struggle not only as a father desperate to save his son but also as a man caught in the midst of a brutal war that challenges the very core of his principles and beliefs.
